Refrigerator or Freezer should be dry and stored with the door slightly open.
Use inside of larger appliances for extra storage.
Stand sofas and mattresses on end.
Cover all furniture if possible.
Stack chairs seat-to-seat.
Use dresser drawers for extra storage of small items.
Mirrors and glass should be stored on edge, not flat.
Dishes and glasses should be wrapped in paper and stored in boxes.
Leave a walkway for easy access.
Store larger pieces of furniture and infrequently used items in the rear.

Use the same size boxes for easy stacking.

Label all boxes on several sides for easy locating. Also, indicate if the contents are FRAGILE.
Disassemble tables and shelves and store on their sides.
Use a high quality lock such as a “disc lock” to ensure your unit’s security.
Do not store lawn mowers, trimmers, power tools, etc. with gas or oil in them. Please drain prior to storage.
Make an inventory of your stored items and keep it in a safe place at home or in a safe deposit box.

It is against the law to store materials that are hazardous or combustible such as gasoline, solvents, paint, etc.
Shovels, hoes, and rakes can be stored together in empty trash cans.
Pack books flat, not standing on end (which may cause damage to the spines).
